U& Vessel Insight is a new management solution for vessel energy use reduction and route optimization that was developed in response to the increasing number of issues related to the IMO’s, EU’s, etc. strengthening of greenhouse gas regulations, attempts to reduce operating costs in response to uncertainties in the global maritime shipping business, and energy efficiency management.

In particular, our company’s solution applies an officially approved algorithm based on a verified big-data set of engine and route data collected in real-time over 3 years from roughly 30 vessels to ultimately provide our client businesses with optimized vessel energy management methods that provide optimal trim and sea lane suggestions.

Through real-time monitoring of everything from basic vessel location tracking to real-time course and engine data, central equipment and engine performance can be objectively inspected and optimum state values can be determined, and using optimal trim, route, speed, and weather information, economical and safe routes are suggested by this solution to ultimately reduce emissions of fuel oil and greenhouse gases. Furthermore, through the use of automated satellite data communications technology, all of this data can be processed in real-time.
